Is this the production version of the Porsche 918 Spyder? (video)

We have what appears to be official video of the Porsche 918 Spyder being previewed by a private audience in New York.

The Porsche 918 Spyder is hardly a secret, but all the cars we’ve seen so far have been concept cars; prototypes evolving as the 918 Spyder moves from concept to production. But this video looks different.

It seems to be the unveiling of the 918 Spyder at a private Porsche event in New York for prospective buyers. But this isn’t a shaky, fuzzy spy video sneakily snapped by a guest, but appears to be a slick production prepared by Porsche for release at some point.

The 918 Spyder is joined by a 918 RSR Concept and certainly looks to be a more evolved version of the prototypes we’ve seen so far; the lights look bespoke and production ready, the exhaust pipes come out of the top (which they didn’t on the concept) and the whole car looks ready to roll.

So is this an ‘acquired’ copy fo a professional bit of VT Porsche has put together to further tease the 9181 Spyder? Is it a complete fake? Does this mean Porsche are ready to reveal the production version of the 918 Spyder very soon, perhaps at the Paris Motor Show?

Your answers are as good as ours, but count us intrigued by this video of what appears to be the production ready Porsche 918 Spyder.
