Jaguar Land Rover Infotainment for your classic car
Jaguar Land Rover launches a range of infotainment systems for Jaguars and Land Rovers (and others) offering classic looks with modern technology.
We all love a classic car, and classic car owners do all they can to keep their cars as original and period as they can.
But although many (if not most) classic cars are weekend toys, the lack of Sat Nav and Bluetooth – and even DAB – in anything more than a decade old is a bit of a pain. So what’s the solution?
You can use your smartphone and stick it to the dashboard, or you can pop over to Ebay and grab a Chinese-built ‘retro’ infotainment unit for a few tens of pounds. But now there’s another option.
Jaguar Land Rover Classic has launched a range of five new ‘Classic’ infotainment units – two Jaguar branded, two Land Rover branded and one unbranded – which bring modern technology to classic cars without spoiling the aesthetic.
The single DIN-sized negative earth units deliver customisable Sat Nav, Smartphone integration, Bluetooth, DAB and FM with a 3.5″ display, proper rotary knobs and finished in black, chrome or brushed aluminium.
The range of classic infotainment systems from JLR is now on sale, although the retail price of £1,200 is a bit painful.
Still, if you love your classic car, you’ll love what JLR has done.
