The Koenigsegg Agera RS has been revealed at the Geneva Motor Show as Koenigsegg move the Agera R and S on with new enhancements and options.
Under normal circumstances, the arrival of the new Koenigsegg Agera RS at the Geneva Motor Show would have grabbed most of the headlines. But it didn’t, because we had the new Koenigsegg Regera to lust after instead. But the Agera RS was revealed, and it aims to move what Koenigsegg achieved with the Agera S and R to another level, with less weight, aerodynamic changes and new options.
Koenigsegg say they have maintained the features and functionality of the R and S, but added advanced technology from the One:1 to make the RS a better car.
That means a new optimised front splitter, front winglets, side skirts, dynamic underbody flap system, advanced lightweight sound insulation as well as improved air outlets, extra power and more downforce thanks to an active rear spoiler. Despite which the Agera RS is lighter than the R or S. Power for the Agera RS comes from Koenigsegg’s 5.0 litre V8, delivering 1160bhp on regular fuel.
Options for the RS include bonnet vents for more downforce, front venturi flap system, active ride height and shock absorbers, integrated winglets, an E85 power upgrade, roof scoop, interior titivations and trinkets like a diamond encrusted key fob.
The Koenigsegg Ager RS will run to just 25 units, 10 of which are pre-sold.
