Lamborghini Urus SUV TEASED on video – Debuts on 4 December 2017

The Lamborghini Urus SUV will finally debut on 4 December 2017, confirms Lamborghini, as they tease its arrival on video as a ‘Super’ SUV.

Lamborghini aren’t backwards in coming forwards when it comes to a boast or three about their cars, and this tease video for the arrival, finally, of Lamborghini’s second SUV – the Lamborghini Urus – is true to form.

Pushing the hashtag #SinceWeMadeItPossible, Lamborghini boast they raised the bar with the Miura, made futuristic supercar designs possible with the Countach and pioneered new roads with the LM002.

That, say Lamborghini, continues with the Urus, an SUV they say is the world’s first ‘Super’ SUV (SSUV), and which will arrive on 4 December. 

We’re not entirely sure the Urus will be the first SSUV (didn’t Victor Muller call his Spyker D12/D8 an SSUV a decade ago?), and the Bentley Bentayga and Porsche Cayenne Turbo could certainly lay claim to the moniker.

Looking very similar to the Urus Concept (as we saw in the Urus Spy Video recently), the production Urus will use the same platform as the Bentayga and Cayenne and a 4.0 litre twin turbo V8 from the VW Group delivering 650bhp.

Whether the Uris is properly ground breaking or not, it will probably do wonders for Lamborghini’s sales, especially as it looks set to be Lambo’s entry-level model on price.

The Lamborghini Urus will be revealed at an event at Sant’Agata Bolognese on 4 December. expect more information before then.
