Lexus NX SUV getting a facelift – teased by this photo
The Lexus NX SUV – baby brother to the Lexus RX and introduced just three years ago – is already getting a facelift. Debuts at the 2017 Shanghai Motor Show.
It will be exactly three years since the Lexus NX SUV arrived at the Beijing Motor Show in 2014 when Lexus roll out a facelifted version at next month’s Shanghai Motor Show.
Perhaps Lexus feel that the, certainly then, very modern cut of the NX’s jib has aged a bit in the intervening three years, but to our eyes it still looks fresh, funky and friendly.
We had the NX 300h F Sport in for review a few months ago, and despite it sporting a hybrid powerplant and CVT ‘box we found it a terrific car, with an interior several pay grades above its price.
But Lexus clearly know their market and are planning to give the NX a makeover for 2017, although just how extensive it’s going to be we don’t yet know.
Lexus say the new NX will get an updated exterior design as well as interior changes for function and convenience. Which sounds fairly minor, but we’ll have to wait until Shanghai next month to find out. For now, along with the photo above, that’s all we’re getting.
