McLaren 720S Velocity from McLaren’s MSO is an early £335,000 Special 720S

The McLaren 720S may only just have arrived to replace the 650S in McLaren’s Super Series, but we already have a McLaren 720S Velocity special from MSO.

It’s not even 48 hours since the McLaren 720S arrived to take the place of the 650S in McLaren’s Super Series line-up, and already there’s a, very expensive, special edition 720S on offer.

This 720S is the McLaren 720S ‘Velocity’, an offering from McLaren’s MSO, the division designed to titivate and excite the bank accounts of McLaren’s most wealthy clients so large sums of money float Woking’s way.

In this case, it’s a rather large £335,000 for the 720S Velocity, with MSO  ‘options’ of £127,000 adding the equivalent of a brand new 540C to the cost of McLaren’s newest car.

The highlight – in the most obvious way – of the Velocity is its paint job, a paint job which comprises two pearlescent reds seamlessly blended as they meet, with Nerello Red on the front and upper body and Volcano Red on the side and rear.

To add to the visual kicks of the paint job, the Velocity comes with alloys finished in metallic bronze, extra carbon fibre bits including a gloss carbon rear deck, Service Cover and rear aero bridge, as well as a full length satin carbon fibre sill cover.

Inside, it’s a bit of an Alcantara and red leather explosion with sports seats which is, say McLaren, the most luxurious Super Series interior to date.
