The McLaren MP4-12C Configurator has launched
McLaren has launched an online configurator for the MP4-12C. A wonderful time waster. We also have video of Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton using the configurator.
What would a new Supercar be without a configurator for the fan boys and wannabes to play with? Not credible in the eyes of many. Usually we get the configurator once the car is ready to rock ‘n’ roll. But in the case of the McLaren MP4-12C we are more than a few months away from take-off, but despite that McLaren have launched a comprehensive MP4-12C configurator today. No prices, mind you, but lots of options.
We’ve had a play and no one can decide the perfect combination. Mind you, it’s hard enough to come up with the very best combination when there are so many options, never mind when there’s half a dozen throwing their topinion in. There is little you can’t spec from trim inside and out in a range of colours (bi-colour for the leather if you want), seats, wheels, tyres…
Not only is there a huge array of options, but you can also specify a ‘Driver Zone’ interior option where you can personalise the area just round the driver with a choice of five leather trims for the driver’s seat, dash trim and door insert.
So if you’re bored at work this afternoon, or fancy a quick fantasy over the bank holiday weekend, just jump over to the McLaren MP4-12C Configurator and have a play.
I’m going to take mine in black. With every option going. A bit like Jenson Button in the video below, where he and Lewis Hamilton configure their own MP4-12Cs.
