Megane Renaultsport Red Bull Racing RB8

The Megane Renaultsport Red Bull Racing RB8 is a limited edition of the Megane Renaultsport to celebrate Red Bull’s third F1 constructors title.

It may have been a while since Red Bull took the constructors title in the 2012 F1 circus, but that achievement is being celebrated once more with the launch of a limited edition Megane Renaultsport – the not exactly succinctly named Megane Renaultsport Red Bull Racing RB8.

The Megane RB8 comes in a fetching shade of Twilight Blue – inspired by F1, you may like to know – with contrasting Platinum Grey on the door handles, mirrors, spoiler and front splitter for a bit of added interest. Oh, and there’s a monochrome ‘Laurel’ on the rear side windows too.

The interior gets a makeover too with Red Bull Racing logos dotted wherever Renault could fit them, and you can even opt for Renault’s R-Link system which throws in SatNav, Music streaming, Apps and Bluetooth and makes it available through version 2.0 of the Renaultsport monitor with built in TomTom and a Red Bull Racing home page.

Renault hasn’t seen fit to tweak the power of setup of the RB8 so you get the same 261bhp as the regular Megane complete with a decent spec including Brembos and a limited slip diff.

Exactly how much Renault want for the Red Bull titivation we don’t yet know (probably around £25k), but Renault will be taking orders for the RB8 from next month (June 2013) so they’ll need to decide soon.
