The pinnacle of the new Mercedes C-Class range – the Mercedes-AMG C 63 – had a reveal last month ahead of its public debut in Paris (and got a new name, with ‘AMG’ hyphenated with Mercedes and in front of the ‘C 63’ bit instead of after) and it’s now gone on sale priced from £59,795 for the C 63 Saloon to £67,745 for the C 63 S Estate.
Not surprisingly, the C63 gets a more than adequate spec including Nappa Leather AMG sports seats, COMAND, mechanical locking rear diff, dynamic engine mounts, unique tracks front and back, upgraded AMG brakes, quad tailpipes, new front wings to cover the wider track, rear spoiler and 18″ alloys.
Spend the extra for the C 63 S models and you’ll get 19″ alloys, bigger discs with red callipers, electronic rear diff (linked to the Race mode) and AMG performance seats.
Spend even more by starting to tick Mercedes extensive options list and you can add stuff like high-end Burmester Sound, variable AMG exhaust system, Heads-up display, Ceramic Brakes and LED Light System.
The new C 63 is now on sale in Mercedes UK dealers, but the first models out of the gate will be the Edition 1 models available as a C 63 S Saloon or Estate for £73,500 and £74,700 respectively.
The Edition 1 models get 19″ AMG alloys with a red band, AMG graphics on the side, Night Package, black exterior trim, red highlights on the grill and mirrors, red stitching on the Nappa leather interior, red carbon fibre trim, 590W Burmester sound, LED Intelligent lighting, glass sunroof and Keyless.
First deliveries of the new Mercedes-AMG C 63 are expected in the UK in spring 2015.
