Mercedes-Benz reveals new ‘Santa Class’ model range
With Christmas upon us, Mercedes-Benz has revealed a new model range called ‘Santa Class’ complete with on-line configurator for the perfect result.
The Christmas we enjoy in the UK is probably pretty much nicked from the Germans (thanks, in no small part, to Prince Albert), so it should be no surprise that Mercedes-Benz is happy to enter in to the Christmas spirit with a complete new range of models just for the festive season – the Mercedes Benz Santa Class. To enable you to choose the perfect new Santa Class, Mercedes has very helpfully put up a new Santa Class Configurator on their website so you can choose the options that matter to you.
In terms of body style, you can choose from the F1-inspired Silver Arrows with its sleek bodywork, the Santa F 105 for something a bit futuristic or, if you need extra ability for snowy conditions, you can opt for a Santa G-Class model instead.
Once you’ve picked your body style, there’s a range of colours on offer – from Reindeer Nose Red to Pine Needle Green – and a selection of runners including Exclusive, Avantgarde and AMG.
Having sorted out the look of your new Santa Class, you now need to sort out the drivetrain too, and Mercedes has that covered with a trio of options.
Firstly there’s the standard 4MATIC option which employs a quartet of Reindeer for traditional drive, but now we’re in the 21st century there’s also the option of Hybrid power, which takes a pair of Reindeer and matches them with a pair of horses.
But if your Santa Class needs real get up and go, then Mercedes has that covered too with AMG Drive and a quartet of bison to power you around the world in a single night.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Mercedes-Benz unless there was a good selection of optional equipment, so you can choose from Safety Package Plus (an Angel to watch over you), Navigation (a bright star to guide you on your way) and the Intelligent Light System which employs one of Santa’s helpers in front with extra light.
Well done, Mercedes Benz.
