The new Jaguar XJ - officially revealed tonight in London

Tonight, at the Saatchi Gallery in London’s Kings Road, Jaguar unveiled the eagerly anticipated New Jaguar XJ.

As you would expect with a launch of this kind, Jaguar has gone a little overboard on pictures, and we’ve brought all the ones worth seeing here.

The New Jaguar XJ is now open for orders, but customer cars won’t be delivered in the UK until early in 2010. Available as either a short or long wheelbase version with the option of a 3.0 litre diesel, naturally aspirated 5.0 litre or two versions of the supercharged 5.0 litre, the New Jaguar XJ is, for the first time in a generation, a credible alternative to the offerings from Mercedes and Germany.
