New Land Rover Defender Interior?
The interior of the new 2020 Land Rover Defender has possibly leaked out on Twitter, although it’s probably just a prototype.
The new Land Rover Defender is, finally, on its way, and Land Rover has been busy undermining the world’s car spy photographers by delivering their own spy shots of the new Defender to get a bit of excitement bubbling. So far, all we’ve seen is the exterior of the new Defender, but now, possibly, we get a first look at the new Defender’s interior thanks to a (now deleted) Tweet by @rcdesignsuk.
More interestingly, the Tweet with photo got a response from Land Rover Director Richard Agnew which said:
How about you now remove this image that you’ve publicly stated you shouldn’t post. Legal team are on the way.
It could of course be a double bluff from LR, but the image does look credible even if it appears to be more of a prototype mock-up rather than anything close to production ready.
What we see is a gear lever coming out of the dashboard, a relatively small infotainment screen (which looks almost like a smartphone jammed in the dash), a set of digital instruments, rubber mats, ‘Defender’ branding on the steering wheel and even ‘Stop’ and ‘Go’ stamped on the brake and throttle pedals.
Fake, prototype or almost the real deal? You decide.
