New Lexus NX 300h Sport announced
The Lexus NX 300h Sport joins Lexus’s UK NX range as an NX SE with cosmetic tweaks. Arrives in UK showrooms on 1 May and costs from £36,500.
We’re rather fond of the Lexus NX, and reckon it’s a terrific alternative to the Range Rover Evoque; good looking and with an interior a rung or three up on where its price point says it should be.
Last year we reviewed the Lexus 300h F Sport and loved it, but if your budget doesn’t stretch quite as far as the F Sport, but you want something that looks a bit more dynamic than the NX SE, then this should fit the bill – the new Lexus NX 300h Sport.
Just as Lexus has recently done with the arrival of the RX 450 h Sport, they’ve taken the SE model and added some cosmetic tweaks to deliver an additional NX option in the UK, carefully positioning it price-wise between the SE and F Sport.
The NX Sport comes with black exterior, including on the spindle grille and mirrors, and new 18″ alloys with two-tone dark/bronze finish, as well as an interior with a choice of the black leather interior from the SE or, exclusively to the Sport, with contrasting white accents on the seats and dash, as well as silver trim inlays.
You get the normal SE spec stuff from the SE, so that means good levels of standard equipment including Lexus Premium Nav, Lexus Safety System+, decent sound, DAB, auto wipers, electric heated front seats, reversing camera and Climate.
On sale in the UK from 1 June, the Lexus NX 300h Sport costs from £36,500, around £2.5k more than the SE and £2k less than the F Sport.
