Toyota Racing development (TRD) has produced a range of upgrades for the new Lexus NX Compact SUV including body tweaks and new wheels.

The Lexus NX gets upgrades from Toyota Racing
It could be argued that the new Lexus NX – the baby brother to the Lexus RX SUV – already looks quite aggressive with its angular look and statement grill.
And if you don’t think the regular NX looks butch enough you can always opt for the NX F-Sport which ups the butch look a notch or two, whether you take the ‘green’ NX 300h or the more sporty NX 200t.
But for those who want their NX to look even more purposeful, Toyota Racing Development (TRD), Toyota’s in-house performance division, has produced a number of upgrades to make the NX more appealing to a certain demographic.
TRD hasn’t had a play with the opilt bits in the NX, but it has produced cosmetic upgrades for the exterior including a chin spoiler, a rear diffuser and a set of quad tail pipes all designed to make the world think your NX is a bit more lively than the norm.
Also in the mix from TRD is a new set of multi-spoke alloys that do add a certain something to the NX’s look (although they look like they’ll be a pain to keep clean).
We don’t yet know if Lexus will be offering the TRD upgrades for the NX in the UK, but if they do they won’t be cheap.
Based on the Japanese prices, the wheels will set you back £2,500 and the body tweaks £2,000, adding a not inconsiderable £4,500 to the price of your new Lexus NX.
