New Nissan Pulsar price and spec revealed – will cost from £15,995

The all new Nissan Pulsar – Nissan’s answer to the Ford Focus and VW Golf – will go on sale in the Autumn in the UK and cost from £15,995 to £21,945.

In May, Nissan revealed they are heading back in to the hatchback market after deserting it in favour of small SUVs with an all new Nissan Pulsar to take on the might of the VW Golf and Ford Focus in the hotly contested C-Segment market. And now we know how much the Nissan Pulsar will cost, what its engines will be and what trim options will be available.

The new Pulsar will go on sale in t he Autumn in the UK with a choice of two engines – the 1.2 litre DIG-T 115 petrol and the 1.5 litre dCi 110 diesel – and a choice of four trim levels – Visia, Acenta, n-tec and Tekna – although there will doubtless be more engine, and trim, options available after launch including a 190PS 1.6 litre turbo petrol.

Starting point for the new Pulsar will be the Visia trim with the DIG-T 115 engine (from £15,995 or £17,595 for the diesel) which comes with a 5″ colour screen, steering wheel mounted controls, AirCon, Bluetooth, 16″ alloys, electric mirrors, Cruise, Stop-Start and follow me home lights.

Next up the ladder is the Pulsar Acenta (from £17,645 for the petrol and £19,245 for the diesel) which adds in auto lights and wipers, Climate, Engine Start button, heated mirrors, more upmarket trim and i-Key, with the Pulsar n-tec (from £18,995 for the petrol and £20,595 for the diesel) adding 17″ alloys, Privacy, LED headlamp signature, Nissan Connect2 and reversing camera.

The top of the tree Pulsar Tekna gets the luxury toy (and costs from £20,345 for the petrol and £21,945 for the diesel) with Leather, heated front seats, Around View Monitor, Lane Departure, Blind Spot Warning, Moving Object Detection and electric folding mirrors all as standard.

The new Nissan Pulsar will be on sale in the Autumn from Nissan’s UK dealers.
