New Renault Koleos SUV – First OFFICIAL photo ahead of Beijing debut

The new Renault Koleos SUV has been revealed with a single official image ahead of its debut at the 2016 Beijing Motor Show next week.

Renault are pushing their SUV offerings as the market for crossovers and SUVs continues to grow, and now we get a new Renault Koleos – which will come to the UK – as a big brother to the Captur and Kadjar and ready to make a debut at the 2016 Beijing Motor Show next week.

The single official image of the Koleos is undoubtedly Reanult’s reaction to the photo unofficially appearing on the web, so although we get a picture we don’t get any real detail.

All Renault have to say about the new Koleos is that it delivers SUV design and saloon car refinement and offers record room for passengers as well as all-terrain ability.

The single photo shows the new Renault nose with LED headlights and a grille with chrome slats, and we expect the interior to be taken, in the main, from the new Renault Megane. But it seems – at least at launch – the new Koleos won’t be getting a seven-seat option.

Under the skin, much of what the Koleos has to offer will come from the Nissan X-Trail, which will mean a choice for buyers of front-wheel and four-wheel drive and a similar range of engine options.

The current Koleos hasn’t been sold in the UK for the last five years, but its seems Renault will put the new Koleos on sale in the UK by early 2017.
