The all new Renault Twingo – which arrived at the Geneva Motor Show in March – has now gone on sale in the UK priced from under £10,000.

Following its arrival at the Geneva Motor Show in March, the all-new Renault Twingo has now gone on sale in the UK with a choice of two petrol engines and costing from £9,945.

First engine choice is a 3-cylinder 0.9 litre Dynamique TCe 90 – which develops 89bhp and 100lb/ft of torque – and comes with 99g/km emissions and official economy of 66mpg. The Twingo Dynamique TCe 90 can get to 62mph in 10.8 seconds.

Second choice is a non-turbo 1.0 litre 3-cylinder petrol – the Twingo SCe 70 – which gets 69bhp and 91lb/ft of torque, can get to 62mph in a leisurely 14.5 seconds and does 67mpg.

The new Twingo comes with a choice of three trim levels – and lots of customisation options – with the entry-level Expression models getting 15″ wheels, electric windows, LED running lights, a rear spoiler, split folding back seats, central locking, hill assist and emergency braking, with the Play spec adding AirCon, black wheel accents and height adjustable steering wheel and driver seat.

Push the boat out and opt for the Dynamique trim and you’ll get 15″ alloys, pinstripe decals for the shoulder line, Cruise, lane departure warning, Fogs, electric heated door mirrors, leather on the steering wheel and gear knob, stop-start and variable power steering.

Personalisation is taken care of with a wide range of option packs, including Seats Pack (£250), Techno Pack (£600), Convenience Pack (£500), Sport Pack (£850), Interior Style Pack (£100) and interior and exterior Touch Packs (£100).

Other major options include an electric panoramic fabric roof for £850, rear parking sensors for £150 and 16″ ‘Emblem’ alloys for £275.

The new rear-engined, rear-wheel-drive Twingo – which shares its underpinnings with the new Smart – is now on salw in the UK with first customer cars due in September.
