Sat Nav specialists TomTom have released a new Sat Nav App for Android phone – TomTom GO Mobile – which is free for up to 50 miles a month.

New TomTom GO Mobile Sat Nav App – from FREE on Android
There was a time, not too long ago, when Sat Navs for cars cost an arm and a leg (and they still do if you tick the Sat Nav option on a car that doesn’t have it as standard). But times have changed.
But TomTom have been fighting back, and their newest SatNav App for Android – TomTom GO Mobile – offers a huge amount of functionality for not very much at all.
In fact, if you only need it for 50 miles a month (and frankly, if you can’t find where you’re going that close to home you probably shouldn’t be on the road) it will cost you nothing. But if you want to use it freely it’ll cost just £14.99 a year (or £34.99 if you sign-up for three years).
If you do, you’ll get the same user interface as standalone TomTom Sat Nav, traffic info, off-line maps, speed camera warnings and access to mapping for 111 countries.
Frankly, at that price, it’s worth it just for holiday rental cars. We might just have to download it and have a play.
