Toyota has released UK details and pricing on the 2010 Land Cruiser
Toyota has revealed that the new 2010 Land Cruiser will be offered in the UK as a five door with just one engine option. Prices start at £29,795.
Toyota brought along the 2010 Land Cruiser to Frankfurt in September, and the UK launch and prices have now been announced.
The new Land Cruiser will be available in only the five door configuration and be powered by a 3.0 litre D-4D diesel lump delivering 171bhp and drive through a five speed auto ‘box.
Toyota are offering three trim levels on the Land Cruiser – LC3, LC4 and LC5 – and all but the entry level comes with a third row of seats making the Land Cruiser a seven seater. The seven seat option will be available at extra cost on the LC3.
The new Land Cruiser is only slightly larger than its predecessor but the revised interior adds welcome extra room. Toyota has kept the body-on-frame construction on the Land Cruiser but has introduced Electrically modulated Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (too big a mouthful – just call it KDSS) which controls body roll and steering feel on-road but increases wheel articulation off-road.
Basic kit on the LC3 includes 17″ alloys, climate and cruise. Move up to the LC4 and you get the seven seats, 18″ alloys, leather, auto lights and a HDD SatNav, The LC5 additionally offers stuff like Adaptive Variable Suspension with Active height Control, sunroof, Crawl Control, Multi-terrain Monitor, Steering Angle Display, Multi-terrain Select and a rear seat entertainment system for DVD playback and gaming Full 2010 Land Cruiser Specs can be found on the Frankfurt Article.
Although the start price is a very reasonable £29,795, top of the range gets up to a less than reasonable £44,795. But if you’re up for one of the best 4x4s on the market the order book is now open in the UK and deliveries start next month.
Still, it will last forever.
