Porsche Cayenne S Coupe
Porsche adds to the new Cayenne Coupe range by adding the Cayenne S Coupe to the range, complete with a middle-ranking 435bhp.
It’s take Porsche a decade to catch on that big Coupe SUVs is a market with potential, but they finally got round to rectifying that in March with the arrival of the new Porsche Cayenne Coupe. The Cayenne is, as you’d expect, a regular Cayenne with a sloping roof and lifestyle feel, with Porsche offering just an entry-level Cayenne Coupe and a Cayenne Coupe Turbo when it was revealed. But now there’s a new middle child offering available – the Porsche Cayenne Coupe S.
If the 336bhp entry-level Cayenne Coupe is just too slow – and the Coupe Turbo just too expensive – the the Cayenne Coupe S may be just the Porsche you’re looking for, although adding the S badge ups the price to £73,658, £11.5k on top of the entry-level model but a chunky £31k less than the Turbo.
What you get in the S model for your extra dosh – apart from an ‘S’ badge – is a 2.9 litre V6 Turbo good for 435bhp and able to sprint to 62mph in 5.0 seconds, as well as Porsche’s Sport Chrono Package as standard.
On sale from today (15 May 2019) with prices starting from £73,658, the Porsche Cayenne S Coupe comes with, in addition to the standard Sport Chrono Package, 20″ alloys, Park Assist, Reversing Camera and PASM.
