Land Rover has released UK pricing for the new Range Rover (2010MY)

Well, technically speaking, and for the benefit of our American friends, this is the release of prices for the new Range Rover 2010MY. But it actually goes on sale, at least in the UK, in July 2009. Confusing!

And what’s also a little confusing, especially if you are an avid and knowledgeable Land Rover buff, is that this is the latest refresh of the Range Rover, not the all-new car, which is at least a couple of years away.

But this is a good refresh of the iconic Land Rover Range Rover, revealed earlier this year at the New York Motor Show. At first glance it’s hard to tell what’s been changed, but it does look fresher. Look harder and you will see that the front is different, with a new grill and some three-line LEDs. The interior also gets a titivate, with more gizmos than you can shake a stick at, including a long overdue update to the SatNav.

But the interesting stuff is kept under the bonnet. The new Land Rover gets the 5.0 litre V8 used in the Jaguar XF, in both blown and normally aspirated versions, offering 375bhp or 510bhp and a 0-60mph time of 5.9 seconds in the supercharged version.

The new Range Rover, together with the new Range Rover Sport and the Land Rover Discovery LR4 are making their UK debut this week at 2009 MotorExpo at Canary Wharf before going on sale next month.
