Subaru Levorg Sport Tourer costs from £27,495
The Subaru Levorg Sport Tourer – effectively a replacement for the Legacy Tourer – price and specs have been revealed for the UK with a single GT spec and a price of £27,495.
We revealed in June that the Subaru Levorg was heading for the UK to, belatedly, replace the Legacy Tourer in Subaru’s line-up, and now Subaru has confirmed this and revealed there will be just one model on offer – the Levorg Sport Tourer GT – and it will cost £27,495.The Levorg Estate may have a smaller footprint than the Legacy, but it manages to use that far more efficiently with more leg, head and shoulder room – and a bigger boot – with a far more refined cabin with higher quality materials and stuff like sports seats with Levorg blue stitching, a 7″ touchscreen infotainment, Sat Nav, good connectivity and lashings of leather.
When the Levorg goes on sale next month you will only have the choice of Subaru’s 1.6 litre DIT Boxer engine mated to Subaru’s Lineatronic CVT gearbox (not a combination likely to float the boat of many UK buyers) putting power to all four wheels thanks to Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, with its 168bhp enough to get to 62mph in 8.9 seconds with economy of almost 40mpg.
Standard equipment includes Rear Vehicle Detection, Subaru Intelligent Drive, Active Torque Vectoring, High Beam Assist, auto lights and wipers, 18″ dark grey alloys, privacy glass, keyless, rear parking camera and climate.
It’s a lot of car for £27k, but we do wonder how long it will take Subaru to decide they need to offer the Levorg with the 2.0 litre Boxer diesel from the Outback, and its manual gearbox.
The Subaru Levorg Sport Tourer goes on sale at Subaru’s UK dealers in September 2015.
