Subaru VIZIV Performance Concept tease
The new Subaru VIZIV Performance Concept is teased ahead of a debut at the Tokyo Motor SHow, and looks like it could preview the next generation WRX.
It’s a month until the Tokyo Motor Show kicks off, so Subaru are teasing a new concept they’re planning to reveal – the Subaru VIZIV Performance Concept.Subaru love a VIZIV Concept – we’ve had the VIZIV Concept in 2013 VIZIV 2 Concept in 2014 – and this looks like it’s previewing a new WRX, as well as showcasing some autonomous driving technology.
Clearly an aggressive looking saloon car, the VIZIV Performance, it looks to use rear-view cameras instead of door mirrors (although that’s a regular concept thing), but it’s also expected to preview Subaru’s autonomous driving technology.
With Subaru rolling out its ‘EyeSight’ technology to keep drivers safer and take some of the driving burden away, expect the VIZIV to preview the next stage on from there. Although with a new WRX not dues for at least a couple of years it could well be ‘wish-list’ technology.
What’s also quite likely is the arrival of some sort of electrical boost, either with a plug-in or mild hybrid setup as Subaru look to deliver performance but tinged with a bit of fluffy bunny loving too.
With the Tokyo Motor Show just a month away expect more details to be forthcoming/
