Suzuki Swift Sport REVEALED ahead of the new Suzuki’s debut at Frankfurt

The new Suzuki Swift Sport has been revealed in a single photo as the face of the Sporty Fiesta rival. Debuts at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The new Suzuki Swift is a cracking little car, and this – the new Suzuki Swift Sport – looks set to give sporty Fiestas a run for their money when it arrives later this year.

Revealed in a single image (above) the new Swift Sport gets complete re-design and comes, for the first time, with a turbo-charged engine under the bonnet in the shape of a tweaked version of the 1.4 litre BoosterJet in the Vitara.

Whether the Swift gets more power than the Vitara remains to be seen, but even if it doesn’t, its 4bhp advantage over the current Swift Sport will be aided by a bigger torque boost and lower weight than the current model.

In terms of looks, the new Swift Sport gets a new front end with new aggressive looks, a new grille and splitter, there are a new set of side skirts and dome new alloys. It looks good.

We don’t have a clue what the interior will offer, except to say it’s probably going to be in line with the latest Swift’s good interior with a 7″ infotainment, good connectivity including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as some ‘sporty’ additions.

No doubt we’ll get more detail between now and when the new Swift Sport debuts at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
