Tesla Model S P100D with Ludicrous is stupendously quick in a straight line
The Tesla Models S P100D and Model X P100D have been revealed with a new 100kWh battery pack delivering 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds in the Model S.
It’s not been exactly a secret that Tesla were planning to offer a new range-topping P100D specification for the Model S and Model X as they try hard to stay ahead of the pack with mainstream competition looming on the horizon. And here its is.The Tesla Model S P100D and Model X P100D have been announced by Tesla featuring the new 100kWh battery pack, which if specced together with the Ludicrous Mode upgrade will get the big saloon to 60mph in 2.5 seconds and the big SUV in just 2.9s. Times which are truly ludicrous. You also get an official EU range of 380 miles. Just don’t expect to achieve both.
Already ready to spec on Tesla’s US site, the P100Ds haven’t turned up on Tels’s UK site yet, but with a P90D with Ludicrous upgrade listing at £101,500 – and Tesla asking an extra $10k for a P100D in the US – it seems a Model S P100D with Ludicrous will retail in the UK for around £110k. Which is a lot of money.
On the same basis, the Model X P100D with Ludicrous in the UK will end up costing around £116k. Which is even more money.
Those with an order in for a P90D (Model S or Model X) can upgraded to a P100D for an extra £7.5k, and if you already have a P90D Tesla will upgrade it to a P100D for around £15k.
