The Fiat 500X Sport goes on sale in the UK
The new Fiat 500X is Fiat’s ‘sporty take on the 500X SUV, and it is now on sale in the UK with prices starting from £22,500.
If you want a Fiat, and it’s a Fiat with more than two seats, you really don’t have a huge amount of choice any more; it’s either the Fiat 500 or the Fiat Panda. So, with so little on offer, it’s no wonder Fiat is rolling out a new 500 model – the Fiat 500X Sport.
With the Fiat 500X – Fiat’s answer to the MINI Countryman – getting a bit of a titivate last year, Fiat now feel there’s room in the range for a ‘Sporty’ 500X, so they’ve titivated the 500X to make it look a bit more purposeful and feel a bit sportier.
The engine choices may not yell sporty, but the 1.0 litre 118bhp three-pot is a decent little engine, and the 149bhp 1.3 litre four-pot is there if you want to stretch your budget and get a bit more oomph.
Both come with front-wheel drive, with a six-speed manual on the three-pot and six-speed dual-clutch on the four-pot, with active dampers on the four-pot too for improved handling, and slightly lower suspension.
The exterior sport titivations include a set of 18″ alloys, Sport Red pastel paint, butch front bumper, side skirts, rear diffuser, LED headlights and chrome twin exhaust pipes.
Inside the sportification continues with an Alcantara steering wheel, aluminium pedals and gear knob, ambient lighting, Titanium Grey dash and black cloth and fake leather seats with an embroidered ‘500’ logo.
The new Fiat 500X Sport is now on sale at Fiat’s UK dealers with prices starting at £22,500.
