Top Gear Tonight – Bentley, Mercedes and Rolls-Royce
Top Gear tonight – Series 26 Episode 4 – is the penultimate episode of series 26 featuring old Mercedes, Rolls-Royce and Bentley. Matt Baker is SIARFC.
The first three episodes of series 26 of Top Gear have, on the whole, been pretty good, with the the relationship between the three hosts – and Matt LeBlanc and Chris Harris in particular – the most successful to come so far after the departure of Clarkson, Hammond and May.But having found a set of presenters with a good rapport, it’s all about to change as Matt LeBlanc departs, Rory Reid gets sidelined and Freddie Flintoff and Paddy McGuinness arrive for series 27.
But there’s still two more episode to go of the current series, with tonight’s episode – the penultimate in the current series – reviving the old Top Gear trick of buying old luxury cars for the price of the cheapest new car to see if they’re a real option.
That means old school luxury from Mercedes, Bentley and Rolls-Royce as the trio set out to see if they can match up to a Dacia Sandero, with everything from a six hour endurance race to a ‘no hands’ drag race. Top Gear say it’s one of the most car-punishing films of recent times.
Star in a Reasonably Priced Car is the One Show’s Matt Baker.
Top Gear series 26 episode 4 is on BBC 2 tonight, 10 March 2019, at 8pm.
