Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace UK price and specs announced

The Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace – VW’s seven-seat Tiguan – goes on sale in the UK with prices starting at £29,370 and rising to £39,965 for the range-topping model.

It’s a year since the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace hoved in to view as a stretched Tiguan at the 2017 Detroit Motor Show to deliver a Tiguan US buyers might want, and deliver a more capacious Tiguan to the UK and Europe. And it’s now going on sale in the UK.

The Tiguan Allspace comes with an extra 106mm in the wheelbase (about 4″) and a bit of extra length (about 8″) and a third row of what VW call ‘Occasional’ seats for sticking little ones in.

Trim levels on offer are SE Navigation, SEL and R-Line, and engine options much the same as the regular Tiguan.

That means the 150 PS 1.4 litre TSI (with cylinder deactivation), 2.0 litre TSI with 4MOTION 4WD and DSG, and a trio of 2.0 litre TDIs – 150PS, 190PS and 240PS.

The entry-level Tiguan SE Navigation (from £29,370 to £36,155) comes with 18″ alloys, Parking Sensors, 3-Zone Climate, Sat Nav Infotainment, DAB and Bluetooth.

Opting for SEL (from £32,545 to £39,965) spec adds in stuff like Volkswagen’s 12.3″ TFT instrument screen, 19″ alloys, sports seats, hands free boot and Panoramic roof.

The ‘sporty’ R-Line AllSpace comes with a makeover including 20″ alloys, sports suspension, rear spoiler and black roof lining. There are no prices available for the R-Line yet as it won’t be on sale until the end of Q1 2018.
