Volvo S90 Excellence gets the Lounge Console treatment, just like the XC90 (+video)

The new Volvo S90 Excellence has been given Volvo’s Lounge Console treatment for the Beijing Motor Show, to turn it in to the ultimate luxury S90.

Last year Volvo revealed their take on what it takes to turn the very impressive XC90 in to the ultimate luxury transport, and now they’ve turned their attentions to creating the S90 Excellence Lounge Console to show just how sybaritic an S90 can be.

The feedback Volvo got on the XC90’s Lounge Console has inspired them to do something very similar with the S90, so it gets the most comfortable pair of armchairs possible in the back with heated. cooled cup holders, media screen, sound system, integrated Champagne cooler and Crystal glasses.

Volvo has also removed the front passenger seat to create a more open space, and the space where the seat was provides flexible variants including a work station, an entertainment mode with a big screen and a relaxation mode for lying back, putting your feet up and chilling.

We do things differently at Volvo Cars – we always have. Our distinctive approach to interior design aims to deliver a luxurious and calming experience. The art of Scandinavian Design is all about enhancing the life experience, and this is what Volvo Cars does best.

Before you get too excited, there’s every chance the range-topping S90 Excellence won’t make it to the UK (we don’t get the XC90 Excellence either), so without the starting point for the Lounge Console it’s unlikely we’ll see any S90s running round UK with the ultimate Volvo back seat space.
