The Volvo V60 Cross Country has been revealed as Volvo extends its Cross Country ‘Allroad’ offerings with a higher riding V60 estate with added butch.

Volvo V60 Cross Country arrives to fill the gap between the V60 and XC60
You may have thought that Volvo had the ‘off-road’ V60 covered with the XC60, but it seems Volvo believe there’s a gap between the regular V60 and the XC60 which needs filling. Step forward the new Volvo V60 Cross Country.
The Cross Country will also get the new Drive-E engines, with a front-wheel-drive D3, front-wheel-drive D4 or (the most appealing) AWD D4 with that very good D4 Drive-E engine.
Sensibly, the V60 Cross Country is coming with either 18″ or 19″ alloys with high profile tyres so it can tackle rougher stuff with more aplomb without cracking an alloy in a boot sale car park.
Lex Kerssemakers, Volvo Senior VP, said:
We are delighted to add the third true Cross Country model to our product portfolio. The successful combination of dynamic styling and rugged capability places the V60 Cross Country in a class of its own.
With ground clearance increased by 65mm compared to the V60, the Cross Country’s sturdy construction offers unparalleled control on and off the beaten track, coupled with an enhanced sporty driving experience thanks to torque vectoring technology and corner traction control. The V60 Cross Country really is a getaway car – enabling an adventurous lifestyle in pure rugged form.
The new Volvo V60 Cross Country will go on sale in Q1 2015 at prices yet to be revealed after a reveal at this month’s L.A. Auto Show.
