Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) – makers of the BAC Mono – are moving operations to a new factory in Liverpool as sales grow.

The BAC Mono is in the public eye this week after its impressive performance on Top Gear, but even without the publicity from Top Gear the brothers Brigg were already doing very well with the Mono.
BAC’s new home in Speke will be up and running by the autumn, will create an additional 60 jobs in the local economy – and more in the supply chain – and is expected to turn out more than 100 Monos a year by 2015.
Neill Briggs, BAC’s MD, said:

The BAC Mono is also set to serve as an ambassador for Liverpool with the City brand emblazoned on the Monos bodywork as it blats round the world’s racetrack.
BAC may not offer Liverpool quite the employment and prestige Jaguar Land Rover does (JLR’s Halewood Plant is in Liberpool), but it’s a feather in the cap for Liverpool and a strong sign that BAC’s success with the Mono is set to continue.
