2015 VW Polo GTI price & specs – costs from £18,850

Volkswagen has revealed prices and specs for the 2015 Polo GTI – which gets a new 1.8 litre TFSI with 189bhp – with prices starting at £18,850.

Volkswagen revealed a small facelift for the 2015 Polo GTI back in September, and although the cosmetic tweaks were slight the big news was the arrival of a 189bhp 1.8 litres TFSI engine to replace the 1.4 litre turbo and supercharged engine the GTI had. And now we know the new, more powerful, Polo GTI will cost from £18,850.

That £18,850 price point is for the 3-door GTI with a manual gearbox, but upping your buy to the five-door adds just £630 to the price, whilst the DSG gearbox option is a rather heftier £1,245 extra. That makes the five-door GTI £20,725.

But whether you choose the manual or DSG ggearbox you get the same 1.8 litre TFSI with 189bhp, enough to get to 62mph in 6.7 seconds and deliver official economy of 50.4mpg.

The usual cosmetic extras for the GTI Polo are still there, with 17″ Parabolica alloys, red stripes on the honeycomb grill, GTI roof spoiler, dark red tail lights, chrome exhaust tips and black grained diffuser, with sports suspension and LED lights as standard.

The interior is familiar GTI territory too, with red highlights and check design ‘Clark’ cloth seats with black bolsters. Options for the enewPolo GTI include a Sport Performance Pack and Dynamic Chassis Control.

The 2015 Volkswagen Polo GTI is now available to order from VW’s UK dealers with first customer cars due to arrive in March 2015.
