The 2017 Toyota Yaris facelift goes on sale in the UK with a new engine option, new trim grades and prices starting from £12,495 – for now.

It was just last month that Toyota revealed the 2017 facelift for the Yaris, and now it’s on sale in the UK priced from £12,495 for the Yaris Active 1.0 VVT-i 5MT, rising to £19,845 for the Yaris Bi-Tone 1.5 Hybrid CVT auto.

The eagle-eyed Toyota anoraks amongst you might noticed that the Yaris Bo-Tone has arrived as a standalone grade in its own right, and you’d be right.

Entry point for the new Yaris is the Active trim, which comes with a choice of either the 1.0-litre or 1.5-litre hybrid powertrains.

Just like every other 2017 Yaris model, the Yaris Active comes with Toyota Safety Sense, as well as auto wipers, electric front windows, Bluetooth as well as Climate and projector headlights on the hybrid.

Yaris Icon trim adds in 15″ alloys, Cruise, Air Con and 4.2£ multi-information screen as well as Toyota Touch 2 multimedia, rear view camera and Road Sign Assist. The Yaris Icon Tech gets Toyota Touch 2 with Go, Sat Nav, online services and front parking sensors.

Next up is the Yaris Design which, unsurprisingly, focuses on looks, with 16″ alloys with black and machined faces, honeycomb mesh grille, piano black side mouldings, privacy glass and rear spoiler.

The Yaris B-Tone is now a standalone model with w big choice of contrast colors fro the exterior and different matching trims for the interior dashboard and door trims and comes with electric rear windows, LED running lights and LED rear lights.

The familiar Excel trim for the Yaris adds 16″ alloys, rear spoiler, chrome sills, LED lights, auto lights, Climate and part leather Alcantara.

Engines for the 2017 Yaris include the new 1.5 litre Toyota petrol – replacing the old 1.33 litre unit – the 1.0-litre VVT-i three-cylinder petrol engine and, of course, the 1.5 Hybrid CVT.
