Jaguar are promising a new F-Type Design Concept at Goodwood (the Jaguar F-Type R?) as well as the Heritage Fleet, XFR-S, XJR and XKR-S GT.

Will Jaguar show off the Jaguar F-Type R (pictured) at Goodwood?
With the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed arriving at the end of the week, car makers are revealing what they’ll be taking to the petrolhead party, and it looks like Jaguar are taking something new too.
Jaguar aren’t saying more than that the F-Type Design Study will be there – and will go up the hillclimb in the hands of Mike Cross – but with the focus on all things quick at Goodwood, it does seem likely this will be the first look at the F-Type R, probably with the 550bhp or so the other performance Jaguars get.
And all the other recent performance Jaguars will be in attendance too, with the XFR-S out playing, the proper performance XJ strutting its stuff – the new XJR – and the limited edition XKR-S GT putting in an appearance, and perhaps presaging a run of RHD GTs for the UK.
As well as the modern performance stuff, Jaguar will also have a chunk of cars from their heritage fleet at Goodwood too, including a record-breaking XK 120, chassis #1 D-Type, XJR-9 and the only XJ13 in existence (which will also take on the hillclimb).
That’s Jaguar’s show-off stuff taken care of, but there will also be a selection of Jaguar’s current cars on show and an art display inspired by Jaguar’s design from Royal College of Art students.
Got you FoS tickets yet?

Chris says
The F type they will show at Goodwood is called ‘project 7’ and will have the rear to look like the Le Mans winning D-type.
