Kia has released a teaser photo of a new sports concept, designed in California, they’re taking to the Detroit Auto Show in January.
‘Stunning’ Sports car concept teased by Kia
It may be almost Christmas, but car makers are looking a bit further ahead than that with the current crop of teases and expectations for the 2014 Detroit Auto Show in January.
Kia describe their car as a “stunning sports car concept” which has been designed by Kia’s California design team in Irvine, and is a 2+2 Sports Car which, say Kia, will make heads turn and provide superb driving enjoyment on road or on track.
It seems we’ll have to wait until January 13th 2014 to find out how big the Kia sports Concept is, and what powers it.
But the coupe roof and bulging rear arches do offer promise of a more dynamic design language and, perhaps, something with a decent turn of power.
Maybe we can hope for a V8 Sports car from Kia? Well, something with the power of a V8 but from a hybrid setup seems more possible, but it will probably turn out to be something far more prosaic like a 3-pot petrol in a city-sized sports coupe.
Still, we live in hope.
