Porsche consider their GTS models to be especially sporty, so if you’re looking for a Cayenne – and don’t want, or can’t afford – the Cayenne Turbo then Porsche has just the car for you – the 2015 Porsche Cayenne GTS.
Inside is fairly standard Cayenne (which is no bad thing – it’s now a nice place to be once you’re used to all the buttons) but you do get lashings of Alcantara and GTS logos on the headrests.
Power no longer comes from a Porsche V8, but from a twin-turbo 3.6 litre V6 petrol that delivers 434bhp and 442lb/ft of torque, around 5 per cent more power and 15 per cent more torque compared to the Cayenne S, which means improved performance of 0-62mph in 5.1 seconds when you stump up for the Sports Chrono Pack.
Porsche has also revealed a new entry-level Cayenne (below) with a 3.6 litre V6 petrol (sans turbos) that delivers 296bhp, comes with stop-start, coasting and thermal management and can get to 62mph in 7.7 seconds and offers lower emissions than before at 221g/km.
Both the new entry-level Cayenne and the new Cayenne GTS will debut at this month’s L.A. Auto Show and go on sale straight after. The new Cayenne GTS costs from £75,523 and the base Cayenne from £49,576.

The new 2015 Porsche Cayenne entry-level model costs from £49,576
