The Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid and Electric prices and specs revealed for the UK ahead of an on sale date of 13 October. Prices from £19,995 and £28,995 respectively.

It’s six months since the Hyundai Ioniq was first revealed, with Hyundai boasting it will be the firts production car with a choice of Hybrid, Plug-In Hybrid and Electric Powertrains.

That magic trio of powertrains won’t actually be available until 2017 when the plug-in Ioniq goes on sale, but Hyundai are kicking the Ioniq off with the regular hybrid and the electric, which are due to go on sale on 13 October.

The starting point will be the £19,995 Ioniq Hybrid 1.6 GDi which will come with 15″ alloys, DAB, Bluetooth, Cruise, Rear Parking Sensors, Rear View Camera, Autonomous Braking, Lane Keep Assist and Tyre Pressure Monitoring.

Next up is the Ioniq Premium with Keyless, heated front seats and steering wheel, Bi-Xenons, LED rear lights, 7″ LCD instrument info cluster, Sat Nav, Infinity Audio, Wireless Phone Charging and Android Auto/Apple Carplay. The Ioniq Premium costs from £21,795

A step up from the Premium, the Premium SE adds in leather, heated and cooled front seats, heated outer rear seats, electric memory driver seat, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, front parking sensors and 17″ alloys. The Premium SE costs from £23,595.

If instead of a regular Ioniq Hybrid you want a proper Ioniq BEV, the starting point is the £28,995 for the Premium which comes with stuff like auto lights and wipers, 16″ alloys, LED lights, Cruise and Sat Nav, with the £30,795 Premium SE adding in leather, heated/ventilated front and heated rear seats, electric drivers seat, Blind Spot Detection, front parking sensors and 16″ alloys.

Hyundai are expecting the Ioniq Electric to qualify for the £4,500 EV grant, which will reduce the prices of the Ioniq EV.

The Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid and Electric go on sale at Hyundai’s UK dealers (a select number of 27 for the EV) on 13 October. The Ioniq Plug-In Hybrid won’t go on sale until 2017.
