The Peugeot 208 Allure Premium – one of two new 208 special editions
The Peugeot 208 Active Design and 208 Allure Premium are special edition 208s designed to lure buyers in to Peugeot showrooms for the ’66 Plate.
Peugeot has launched a pair of special edition 208s to grab buyers’ attention ahead of the arrival of the ’66 plate cars next month, with the Peugeot 208 Active Design and 208 Allure Premium offering the usual special edition temptations of a bit more kit and a bit more individuality at a relatively bargain price. The 208 Active Design comes with Peugeot’s very good 1.2 litre 3-cylinder engine, an engine we loved when we reviewed the 2016 208 Allure recently, and either 3 or 5 doors.
Based on the 208 Active, the Active Design gets extra stuff like 16″ Technical Grey Alloys, fogs and an exterior personalisation of an Equaliser grille with gloss black mirrors and fog light finishers.
The personalisation continues with a choice of two exterior packs, with the Menthol White Pack complimenting Hurricane Grey, Orange Power and Virtual Blue and the Lime Yellow Pack Bianca White, Hurricane Grey, and Nera Black versions.
The Peugeot 208 Allure Premium does pretty much what it says on the tin, adding extra stuff to the high-spec 5-door 208 Allure with the 1.2 litre 3-pot engine ( the exact car we reviewed in May).
The extra stuff includes 16″ Titane Matt Black Alloys, Sat Nav, Reversing camera and a panoramic roof and a choice of two solid colours – Hurricane Grey and Bianca White – and three metallics – Rioja Red, Twilight Blue and Aluminium.
On sale now, Peugeot say the 208 Active Design and Allure Premium offer savings of £1200 over speccing up the cars individually, and order placed now will be ready for registration in September on a 66 Plate. Peugeot will also chip in a £1,040 deposit contribution if you finance with them.
