Ferrari Power Extended Warranty now available for up to 15 years
Ferrari has extended their current 12 year Power Warranty by three years, so Ferrari owners can now have peace of mind for 15 years – at a price.
Three years ago, Ferrari made ownership of a Ferrari more ‘budgetable’ with a new Extended Power Warranty, allowing Ferrari owners to take out warranties to cover their cars against nasty surprises for up to 12 years. That was on top of the regular four-year factory warranty in the UK on all new Ferraris and a seven-year service pack. But now Ferrari has gone further.
In an effort to keep Ferraris inside the dealer network – with all the advantages that brings – Ferrari has now extended their Power Warranty availability to 15 years from first registration.
Owners can cover their car’s main mechanical components – including engine, gearbox, PTU, suspension and steering, from the current year 12 through to year 15, with 12 month warranties at a time.
The new warranty is also available for pre-owned Ferraris, but is subject to the car passing Ferraris checks first.
Although none of this is cheap, it does mean owners can at least budget the cost of their ageing Ferrari with a bigger degree of confidence, and we assume Ferrari is still offering the 15 per cent renewal discount and 15 per cent no-claim bonus they offered when the 12 year version arrived.
So, you can now go out and but a brand new Ferrari 488 and know, pretty much, what it’s going to cost you – and not fret over escalating costs – until 2032.
No doubt McLaren will follow suit, just as they did after the 12 year Ferrari warranty.
