2018 Nissan LEAF UK Prices and specs

The new 2018 Nissan LEAF EV goes on sale in the UK with prices (after grant) from £21,990 for the LEAF Visia rising to £33,655 for a fully loaded Tekna.

The 2018 Nissan LEAF arrived at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year, was made available straight away as the 2.ZERO Limited Edition and went in to production just before Christmas.

But now the full range goes on sale in the UK, with prices starting (after government grant) at £21,990 for the LEAF Visia and rising to £33,655 if you want a LEAF Tekna with all the goodies.

In between the two extremes there’s the LEAF Acenta at £24,290, LEAF N-Connecta (which will probably be the best-seller) at £25,990, and a LEAF Zero Special Edition aat £26,490.

Despite the big improvements to the LEAF – like a 50 per cent increase in range (up to 235 miles) and a power jump to 148bhp – prices are as much as £1,500 less than the outgoing model.

Nissan’s Carl Bayliss said:

With the New Nissan LEAF, all-electric motoring has never been more viable or affordable for almost any motorist. EV running costs are around 85% less than petrol or diesel cars and maintenance is almost 75% cheaper.
There’s £0 VED, free London Congestion Charge and even free parking in some cities, not to mention convenient home charging. It’s not surprising unprecedented numbers of drivers are making the switch and going electric.

Nissan are still being a bit coy about exactly what each trim level gets, but we do know the mid-range 2.ZERO LEAF comes with plenty of kit including the 40kWh battery, E-Pedal, ProPilot, 17″ alloys, NissanConnect and Around View Monitor. So the specs are pretty good.

The first 2.ZERO LEAF cars are due to be delivered to UK customers next month (February 2018).
