David Brown Automotive TEASES new High Performance GT reveal

David Brown Automotive is extending their classic-inspired offerings with a new high performance Grand Tourer, which will debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

David Brown Automotive has managed to do what so many small makers of cars fail to do: it’s offered credible and appealing retro-inspired cars people are actually willing to buy.

It’s four years since the Speedback arrived as a 21st century take on the Aston Martin DB5, but with the underpinnings from a Jaguar XKR which, even with a £600k price tag, has sold well.

Well enough in fact for David Brown to move to new premises at Silverstone and deliver their second car – the Mini Remastered – which sits at the other end of the scale from the Speedback, although it will still cost you around £70k.

Now, a year on from that move to new premises, David Brown are teasing another new car which, they say, will be a high performance Grand Tourer, be classically inspired (we expect no less) and join the David Brown range after its reveal.

We know what David Brown is doing is a little polarising (we love it), but the quality of what they’re turning out is admirable, and no doubt the new GT will be just as appealing.

But we actually know nothing about the plans for the new car, what it will be based on, how much it will cost or what will inspire it.

But we’re sure to find out in the coming weeks. And we’re looking forward to it.
