
Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace R-Line
The Volkswagen T-Roc and Tiguan Allspace are the latest VW SUVs to get the sporty R-Line trim to extend their appeal. Prices start at £26,450 and £35,755 respectively.
Car buyers love an SUV and, perhaps incongruously, buyers also love a sporty looking SUV. So Volkswagen has introduced the sport R-Line trim as an option for the new seven-seat Tiguan Allspace and the new T-Roc to broaden appeal and get buyers to dig a bit deeper for the look they want.The new VW T-Roc R-Line comes with a set of 19″ Suzuka alloys (with low rolling resistance tyres), a sportier setup for the suspension, roof spoiler, R-Line bumpers front and back, black wheel arch extensions, side skirts and some R-Line badges.
Inside there’s dark grey trim and black roof lining, LED reading lights, Carbon Flag upholstery, chrome R-Line door inserts, aluminium pedals, R-Line carpet mats and a flat-bottomed R-Line steering wheel.
Engine options are the 1.5 TSI Evo with 148bhp and either six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG, 2.0 TSI 4MOTION with 148bhp and six speed manual and 2.0 TSI 4MOTION with 187bhp and seven-speed DSG.
The Tiguan Allspace R-Line gets a similar R-Line makeover, with 20″ Suzuka alloys, sports suspension, optional Dynamic Chassis Control, roof spoiler, R-Line Styling Pack, Piano Black rear diffuser and rear diffuser.
Inside there’s aluminium-look inserts on the dash and door panels, leather steering wheel, Race cloth upholstery, Stainless Steel pedals and R-Line logos.
Engine options for the Allspace are the 148bhp 2.0 TDI with six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG and a choice of FWD or 4MOTION 4WD, and a 187bhp 2.0 litre TDI 4MOTION with seven-speed DSG.
