Hyundai i30 N Line UK prices and spec announced
The Hyundai i30 N Line – Hyundai’s ‘N’ look option for the regular i30 – comes with a single engine option and prices starting from £21,255.
Hyundai’s plan to cash-in on the success of the i30 N – and more N Performance models to come – started to take shape with the arrival of the first ‘N Line’ model a few weeks ago, appropriately the i30 N Line, as Hyundai go down the same route as Mercedes and BMW with a performance look for more prosaic models.Hyundai hasn’t gone the whole hog and offered the N Line trim with all the i30’s engines, and you’re limited to just the 1.4 litre T-GDI petrol with half the horses of the real i30N – just 138bhp – with a six-speed manual and 7 Speed DCT option.
But the point of the N Line models isn’t really performance, it’s looks and a bit of gentle fettling to make it a bit more ‘sporty’.
So you get a body kit which looks a fair bit like the i30N, bigger brakes, some 18″ alloys, twin exhausts, ‘N Line’ badging and an N-branded steering wheel. Mechanical tweaks also include added responsiveness and sportier suspension settings.
There’s safety stuff as standard, like Lane Departure, Lane Keep, AEB and Hill Start, and 8″ touchscreen with Smart Device integration and Dab, Air Con, cloth sports seats and privacy glass.
For £23,255 you can have the i30 N Line + with electric heated leather and suede seats, heated steering wheel, Climate, LED headlights, auto wipers and Sat Nav.
You have a choice of ten colours, with Engine Red and Polar White a no cast option and the rest – Champion Blue, Stellar Blue, White Sand, Micron Grey, Olivine Grey, Fiery Red, Platinum Silver and Phantom Black – costing an extra £585.
Expect the i30 Fastback to be the next Hyundai to be offered with N Line trim.
