Is this a first look at the Peugeot 508 COUPE?
What looks like it could be a coupe version of the new Peugeot 508 is teased by Peugeot ahead of a debut at the Paris Motor Show.
The Paris Motor Show is one of the few car shows left which really seem to still work, and although car maker attendance is no longer deemed de rigueur by many manufacturers, it’s still a big deal. And it’s an even bigger deal for French car makers. So it’s no surprise that Peugeot seem to be hatching something of a surprise for the Paris Show, and it looks like it could be a new Peugeot 508 Coupe.
Having already delivered a brave new Fastback 508 – and a new 508 Estate due for a debut in Paris – it looks like the next piece of the 508 puzzle will be a Coupe.
Teased with a single shadowy image (above) the Concept looks to be influenced not just by the new 508, but by Peugeot’s somewhat iconic 504 Coupe.
Peugeot boss Jean-Philippe Imparato has also taken to Twitter to express his excitement at the prospect, declaring it’s taken two years of hard work to deliver the concept, which makes it sound much more likely to be a concept with real production intent rather than one of Peugeot’s (often very good) concept flights of fancy.
After two years of hard work, our latest #ConceptCar is ready. When I saw it for real, it made me feel like a child… I can’t wait to show you more !#UnboringTheFuture pic.twitter.com/AkIV31oCcF

Peugeot are going to be pushing the new concept’s design using the #UnboringTheFuture hashtag, so expect a wave of teases and hints to appear in the coming weeks.
