The Jaguar E-Pace Black Edition – one of a range of new Jaguar Black Edition models
Jaguar has launched Black Edition models across the majority of its range – XE, XF, XF Sportbrake, E-PACE, F-PACE and F-Type.
Car makers love a ‘Special Edition’ model or two to get car buyers in to showrooms with the promise of a bigger spec, and a bit of rarity, with big notional savings over mainstream models. But as Jaguar struggles to get buyers in to its showrooms it’s decided to go a bit overboard on the ‘Special Edition’ front and is offering new ‘Black Edition’ models (again) across the vast majority of its range.
Jaguar cars being offered with the Black Edition tag are the XE, XF, XF Sportbrake, E-PACE F-PACE and F-Type, with the only models missing out the low-selling XJ and the I-Pace.
What you get for your money does depend on which jaguar model you opt for, but Jaguar say that whichever model you choose you’re getting the fitted options at half price. So if the options float your boat it sounds like a decent deal, and all Black Edition models come with Black Alloys, Black Pack, Privacy Glass and Metallic Paint as standard
The biggest cash saving is on the F-TYPE Coupe P300 Auto – which adds gets Switchable Active Exhaust, Rear View Camera and Fixed rear spoiler to the standard offering – at £4,495, dropping down to £1,507 for the XF 2.0d 180ps R-Sport with its 19″ Blade Alloys and Rear View Camera.
