Coops Classic Car Show in Surrey – Revisited for 2019
We take a 2019 look at the Coops Classic Car Show in Morden, a perfect example of grass roots classic enthusiasts enjoying their passion.
Last year we ran a piece about the Coops Classic Car Show in Morden, Surrey, and it went down well and helped the organisers raise money for local charities. So we thought we’d revisit it for 2019.The Coops Classic Car Show is part of the Morden Family Fun Day, a great example of how local communities come together to have fun, meet strangers who become friends and raise money for local charities in the process.
The Classic Car bit also shows just how passionate and enthusiastic classic car owners are at a grassroots level; no multi-million pound Ferraris or Bugattis on show, but some great, interesting and sometimes quirky metal on show.
There’s still a few days to book your classic car in if you want to show off your pride and joy, but some of the cars already booked in this year are more than a little interesting.
A quick look at the Facebook page or website page shows classic Fords – Anglias, original Capris and more – Triumph Vitesse, ’66 Mustang, Vauxhall Victor, lots on Minis (that’s Minis, not MINIs), MGs and much, much more.
So, lots of interesting classic stuff, lots of grub, family fun run, train rides and even a Fun Fair. What’s not to love.
So if you’re in striking distance of Morden shoot along on Sunday (14 July 2019) and drink it all in. And if you have a classic and would like to show it to the world (well, the Morden Fun Day attendees) it’ll cost you just £2. You can book in and get more details here.
