The Audi Sport Quattro Concept, revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, is shown on video for the first time.

It does seem almost a certainty that Audi are planning on building a production version of the Audi Sport Quattro concept we saw at the Frankfurt Motor Show last month.
If Audi are going to build the Sport Quattro it’s almost certainly going to be a limited edition run at a price that eclipses even the current range-topping Audi R8 V10 Plus.
But the Sport Quattro can probably justify its potentially high price tag considering what’s on offer.
That includes lots of carbon fibre reinforced plastic to keep weight down, ceramic brakes to haul the Quattro in and almost 700bhp from its hybrid drivetrain.
That power comes from Audi’s 552bhp 4 litre twin turbo V8 – the same engine we see in the RS6 – mated to an electric motor boasting 110kW for a total of 690bhp with a 0-62mph of a promised 3.7 seconds and official fuel economy – thanks to the plug-in hybrid ability – of a frankly bemusing 113mpg.
It seems likely that when Audi do make a production version of the Sport Quattro it will find a ready market – even at £150k plus.
