The Canary Yellow Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Special Edition at Dubai

Bugatti has arrived at the Dubai Motor Show with a trio of Special Edition Veyron Grand Sport models to tempt the locals.

Remarkably, it’s been at least a few weeks since the last Limited Edition Bugatti Veyron turned up. But worry not, Bugatti hasn’t forgotten it’s principle marketing ploy is endless Limited Editions Veyrons, so they’ve turned up at the Dubai Motor Show with a trio of Grand Sport Limited Editions.

However, its seems that having come up with endless names for its Limited Editions – Pur Sang, Fbg Par Hermès, Sang Noir, Bleu Centenaire… – and even three special Veyrons for Dubai three years ago – Veyron Nocturne, the Veyron Sang d’Argent and the Veyron Soleil de Nuit – Bugatti has run out of inspiration. So these three Bugatti Grand Sports at Dubai don’t get names, just bigger price tags and custom paint and trim jobs.

But for those who can’t be bothered to make choices from Bugatti’s options list and who would rather just point and buy, the three customised Grand Sports sitting on Bugattis stand at the Dubai Motor Show have a fair chance of being pointed at and bought by a passing gazillionaire.

There’s a Grand Sport in green fibre tone with polished aluminium and an interior with green and silver (at €1.74), one with a canary yellow paint job with carbon fibre at the bottom and the same yellow interior (at €1.58) with black stitching and another Grand Sport with a blue paint job with visible carbon fibre and polished anodised aluminium with tangerine leather combined with indigo leather and carbon fibre on the dash and door panels.

With a bit of luck Bugatti will not be taking any of these cars home from Dubai. Which is just as well; they are trimmed and painted to suit the market.

If Bugatti do manage to flog off this trio of one-off Grand Sports we think they will still have shifted something under 50 of the 150 Grand Sports planned.

Which may explain the procrastination on a production date for the Bugatti Galibier.
