Ferrari GTC4 Lusso arrives
The Ferrari FF has been given a new name – Ferrari GTC4 Lusso – with cosmetic updates, more power and four-wheel steering. Debuts at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
Just last week we had a tease for the Ferrari FF facelift, and now it’s arrived. But it’s not just a facelift for Ferrari’s four-seater, but a new name too – the Ferrari GT4C Lusso.Despite the new name, Ferrari has been quite gentle with the cosmetic tweaks, with a restyled front bumper getting new air intakes, new headlights and tail lights, modified rear diffuser and a roof mounted spoiler.
Under the skin, Ferrari has done more, with the GTC4 getting the FF’s 6.3 litre V12 but with power increased to 681bhp (up by 30bhp on the FF), and an increase in torque to 550lb/ft.
That extra power makes the GTC4 0.3 seconds quicker to 62mph than the FF at 3.4 seconds, although the top speed remains 208mph.
To go with the extra power, Ferrari has fitted the GTC4 with rear-wheel steering to go with its four-wheel drive and slip slide control which helps the GTC4 get its power down and respond even in slippery conditions.
Inside the cabin, the GTC4 gets Ferrari’s latest infotainment sytsem with a 10.25″ screen, new buttons and smaller steering wheel.
The 2016 Ferrari GTC3 Lusso will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in a few weeks, by which time we might have prices.
