Just over two weeks ago, we brought you the first pictures of Ford’s hot-hatch, the Focus RS, and speculated that although the Euro price equated to around £32.5k at today’s exchange rate, we expected the UK car price to be about £25k. Well we were out a bit. But only by a fiver!
When the Ford Focus RS hits UK car showrooms in March, it will cost £24,995, with a 0-60 of under 6 seconds and over 300bhp.
The base price include goodies such as 19″ forged alloys, xenon headlights, aircon and a Thatcham cat 1 alarm. For an extra £750 you can have a climate pack which includes auto lights and wipers, and for £1500 you get a clever touch-screen satnav. Leather seats are £500.
Ford’s RS models have always been a success (there have been more than 20 such models in the last 40 years), and this new Focus RS will be no different.
